PUREABBY ABYSSINIAN CATS & KITTENS

At PureAbby, we don’t just breed Abyssinians—we actively contribute to the future of the breed. We are a registered Abyssinian Breeder with the CCA (Canadian Cat Association), TICA (The International Cat Association), and CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association).

Our dedication goes beyond breeding:

  • Current member of the CFA Abyssinian Breed Council
  • Current Abyssinian Breed Secretary for the CCA

These affiliations reflect our deep knowledge of the breed and our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and breed standards.

Nestled in the scenic Caledon Hills just north of Toronto, PureAbby is a small, home-based cattery specializing in Abyssinian cats and kittens. Our cattery is intentionally small so we can provide every cat and kitten with the individual love, attention, and care they deserve.

At PureAbby, our Abyssinians are raised cage-free, right in our home. They are part of our extended family, sharing their world with our two dogs, four horses, and a flock of chickens. This unique, social environment helps our kittens grow into confident, playful, and well-adjusted companions.

Focused on Health, Temperament & Quality
We are deeply committed to breeding healthy, athletic, and affectionate Abyssinian cats with outstanding temperaments. Every PureAbby breeding cat undergoes comprehensive genetic screening for breed-specific conditions, including PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and PK-Def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), ensuring your kitten starts life on the healthiest path possible.

Early Socialization & Family Life
Our Abyssinian kittens are born and raised in our home. They are gently handled and exposed to everyday household activities from their earliest days, helping them adapt easily to new homes. They are also socialized with our adult cats—affectionately known as the “Aunts and Uncles”—as well as our friendly dogs, preparing them for life in multi-pet households.

We keep our kittens until they are at least 16 weeks old, giving them ample time to grow, learn, and socialize before joining their forever families.

Our Kittens Travel the World
While we are based in Ontario, Canada, our Abyssinian kittens have found loving homes across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia—including Germany, Lithuania, and China. We do not ship our kittens as cargo. If travel is required, kittens must fly accompanied in the cabin to ensure their safety and comfort.

Limited Litters, Lifelong Bonds
Abyssinians typically have small litters, and we maintain a waiting list because of the high demand for our kittens. We would love to hear from you if you’re looking for a well-bred, socialized, and stunning Abyssinian kitten.

Contact Us
If you’d like to learn more about our Abyssinian cats and upcoming litters, please get in touch with us. You can also fill out a Kitten Application Form here. We’re happy to answer any questions you have and help you find the perfect feline companion.
